✝️ “Feed My Sheep”: The Prophetic Endings of the Four Gospels and the Call to the Last Days Church
Introduction: The Divine Pattern in the Gospels
God is not random. Every word, every chapter, every ending in Scripture is divinely orchestrated (2 Timothy 3:16). The way each Gospel concludes isn't just historical—it's prophetic. It reveals God's redemptive plan for the Jews, the lukewarm, the Bride of Christ, and the entire world.
Peter’s denial is recorded in all four Gospels—not to condemn, but to remind us that we’ve all denied Christ in some form (Romans 3:23). Yet in John’s Gospel, Peter’s story doesn’t end in failure. It ends with a divine commission: “Feed My Sheep” (John 21:17).
This isn’t a command to Peter alone. It’s a call to every believer, especially in these last days.
📖 The Prophetic Endings of the Gospels
1. Matthew — For the Jews | The Great Commission
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them... Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”
—Matthew 28:19–20 (KJV)
Matthew’s Gospel, rich with Old Testament references, was written with the Jewish people in mind. It ends with the Great Commission, and though many Jews rejected Jesus in His first coming (John 1:11), the day is coming when the veil will be lifted (Romans 11:25–26). During the Great Tribulation, a remnant will arise who will recognize Christ as Messiah and go forth to fulfill this very calling.
2. Mark — For the Lukewarm | Tribulation Saints Empowered
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature... and these signs shall follow them that believe...”
—Mark 16:15–17 (KJV)
Mark’s Gospel emphasizes power—signs, wonders, authority. It prophetically speaks to the lukewarm church (Revelation 3:16), those who missed the Rapture but will awaken during the Tribulation. These saints, once casual in their faith, will be empowered with supernatural gifts to proclaim Christ amidst persecution and chaos (Joel 2:28–32).
3. Luke — For the Bride | Raptured in Joy and Worship
“He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped him... continually in the temple, praising and blessing God.”
—Luke 24:51–53 (KJV)
Luke’s Gospel ends with worship, joy, and ascension—a prophetic picture of the Bride of Christ being caught up to meet the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17). The true, watching, Spirit-filled remnant will be kept from the hour of temptation (Revelation 3:10) and will reign with Christ in New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2–3).
4. John — For the World | The Ongoing Call to Feed the Sheep
“Feed my sheep... Follow me.”
—John 21:17, 22 (KJV)
“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God...” —John 20:31 (KJV)
John’s Gospel is universal. It ends not with a benediction, but with a mission still unfolding. The world—Jews, Gentiles, the lukewarm, the bride—all are invited into the ongoing work of redemption. We’re not called just to observe; we’re called to participate.
🔥 We Have All Denied Him
The denial of Christ is not a story about Peter—it’s a mirror held up to humanity.
“But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” —Matthew 10:33 (KJV)
Whether through fear, compromise, or silence, every one of us has denied Him. Yet Jesus does not cancel Peter—He restores him and re-commissions him. That same mercy is available to all today.
🌍 End Times Prophecy and Today’s Global Events
We are watching prophecy unfold in real-time:
-
Wars and Rumors of Wars – From Ukraine to the Middle East (Matthew 24:6)
-
Technological Control Systems – Central Bank Digital Currencies, AI surveillance, social credit systems (Revelation 13:16–17)
-
Deception and Apostasy – False teachings, celebrity Christianity, and a falling away from biblical truth (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
-
Spiritual Lukewarmness – Comfort-driven Christianity, void of the cross (Revelation 3:15–17)
The call today is clear: Wake up. Die to self. Feed the sheep.
🙏 A Call to Repentance
“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” —Revelation 3:19 (KJV)
God is not looking for spectators. He’s calling for soldiers. This is not a time for comfort—it’s a time for consecration. The question is not “What church do you attend?” but “Whose sheep are you feeding?”
-
Repent of lukewarmness.
-
Repent of denying Christ with your silence.
-
Repent of being too busy to seek His face.
It’s time to get back to the cross. It’s time to be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). You were saved for more than survival. You were called to carry His glory into the world.
✝️ The Gospel of Jesus Christ
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23 (KJV)
“The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” —Romans 6:23 (KJV)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” —Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Jesus Christ—the Son of God—lived a sinless life, died on the cross for your sins, and rose again on the third day. He alone can save your soul.
Today, will you turn from your sin and trust Him fully?
He is coming soon.
🕊️ Final Word: Feed His Sheep
The story isn’t over. The final chapter is being written in you. Will you rise? Will you obey? Will you go forth, full of the Spirit, to feed the sheep?
“And there are also many other things which Jesus did... if they should be written every one... the world itself could not contain the books...” —John 21:25 (KJV)
Because His story continues—through you.
