From Receiving to Revealing: Why We Share What God Has Done
“O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.”
— Psalm 105:1 (KJV)
God is good. Not in theory, not just in Scripture, but in real life. He has been in the center of everything I have going on—and whether you realize it or not, He's been at the center of everything you have going on too.
And because of that, we are blessed.
But here's the message today: if you've been on the receiving end of God’s faithfulness, it’s time to move from receiving to revealing. From consuming to proclaiming. From silent gratitude to bold testimony.
God Blessed Me—Even When I Didn’t Believe
The truth is, I didn’t always have full faith. I didn’t always trust His timing. I didn’t always walk in obedience. In fact, there were many seasons I went my own way, trusted in my own wisdom, and leaned on my own understanding.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)
Yet God still covered me.
He still provided. He still protected. He still opened doors I couldn’t see. Even when I was hardheaded. Even when I was spiritually distant. His mercy surrounded me.
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
— Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV)
Blessings That Made No Sense
Sometimes I would look at my life and wonder, Where is this coming from?
The answer was always the same: God.
Not luck. Not coincidence. Not connections. Just grace.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights...”
— James 1:17 (KJV)
But something shifted when I realized it wasn’t random—it was intentional favor. God was trying to get my attention. And when I finally entered that season of recognizing Him as the Source, everything changed.
It’s Time to Share, Not Just Receive
There came a moment when I could no longer stay quiet. I had received too much. Too much grace. Too much provision. Too many second chances.
And that’s when the Lord impressed on my heart:
“It’s time to speak. It’s time to share.”
“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.”
— Psalm 107:2 (KJV)
I started to share not because I’m perfect, but because God has been perfect in His faithfulness to me.
You see, the blessings of God are not just for your benefit. They are designed to reveal His character to others. We don’t share testimonies to boast—we share to witness. To point others to the goodness of our God.
Obedience Doesn't Always Make Sense
Let’s be real—God’s directions don’t always make sense. Sometimes He asks you to walk into the unknown. Sometimes He shuts the door you prayed for Him to open. But every time He leads, He leads with purpose.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
— Isaiah 55:8–9 (KJV)
And when you take that leap of faith—when you follow Him into the uncomfortable, the unfamiliar, the impossible—you start to see miracles unfold. Not just physical ones, but spiritual clarity. Heart transformation. Opened eyes.
You start to understand that faith is not about comfort—it’s about obedience.
Prophetic Insight: Why This Matters Now
In these last days, where deception is rampant, distractions are multiplying, and many hearts have grown cold, testimonies matter. The world isn’t just waiting for sermons—it’s waiting for evidence. People are longing to know if the God we preach about is real.
Your testimony is that evidence. And in a time of false narratives and spiritual confusion, we need voices who will say:
“This is what the Lord has done for me.”
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony...”
— Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
If you’ve been blessed, don’t stay silent. If you’ve been delivered, don’t be ashamed. If you’ve been forgiven, speak up.
A Call to Repentance
If you’ve been living in God’s blessings but withholding your testimony—repent. Not because He’s angry, but because He wants to use your voice.
“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”
— Matthew 10:32 (KJV)
Don’t let fear or pride rob someone else of the breakthrough they could receive through your obedience to speak.
The Gospel Message: Salvation Is the Greatest Testimony
Before you can testify, you must be redeemed.
-
Recognize your sin
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23 (KJV)
-
Understand the cost
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” — Romans 6:23 (KJV)
-
Believe in Christ’s sacrifice
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (KJV)
-
Receive salvation by faith
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9 (KJV)
If you’ve never made that decision, do it today. And if you already have, tell someone.
Conclusion
We were never meant to hoard the goodness of God. We were meant to declare it.
If God has rescued you, provided for you, or sustained you—it’s not just your victory. It’s your responsibility to share it. Don’t keep the miracle to yourself. Let your life preach.
The world needs your voice. Heaven rejoices when you use it.
