From Struggle to Strength: How Seeking God Transformed My Life
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
— Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
God Is Good—Always
First off, let me say this—God is good. Not just sometimes. Not just when everything’s going right. He’s good all the time. He’s at the center of everything I’ve got going on, and that’s why I can say today: I am blessed.
But I’ll be honest—I wasn’t always this way. I didn’t always believe in the Lord like I do now. That kind of faith didn’t come overnight. It came through time, trial, and intentional discipline. It came through late nights, early mornings, and a whole lot of one-on-one time with God.
How It All Started
Back when I was really going through it—confused, frustrated, tired—I kept hearing people say, “Take it to the Lord. Cast your cares on Him.” So I started doing just that. I’d sit down, get honest with God, and pray,
“Lord, I don’t know what to do. I don’t have the strength. Help me.”
And He did. Not always in the way I expected, but He always showed up. The pain didn’t vanish, but it became bearable. He carried what I couldn’t carry. And the more I sought Him, the more I discovered who He really is.
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
— Psalm 55:22 (KJV)
From Struggle to Fire
Today, I’m on fire for the Lord. You won’t see me writing like I’m lost or hopeless—because even when I’m struggling, I know who’s carrying me. I know who’s covering my family. I know who’s guiding my steps. It’s God.
Yes, I still go through trials. Yes, I still face storms. But I face them with peace now, because I know who walks with me.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
— Psalm 23:4 (KJV)
A Real Relationship with God
What changed everything for me was learning how to build a real relationship with God. Not religion. Not tradition. Relationship.
It meant sitting in my home office, talking to Him like He’s in the room—because He is. It meant opening my Bible, not because I had to, but because I needed to hear from Him.
And when I didn’t have the words, I’d speak His Word:
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper...”
— Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
— Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
And the more I spoke His truth, the more I began to believe it.
Reprogramming My Mind
Growing up, I heard things like:
“You’re not good enough.”
“You’re too lazy.”
“You’ll never make it.”
But God had something different to say about me. He said I’m chosen. He said I’m loved. He said I’m gifted.
So I had to reprogram my mind. That didn’t come from the world—it came from the Word.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...”
— Romans 12:2 (KJV)
Now I speak life over myself. I say, “I’m an amazing husband. I’m a strong father. I’m a servant of the Most High God.”
It’s Not About Me
This isn’t just my story—it’s about you, too. I don’t share these messages to lift myself up. I share them to show you what God can do for you.
I used to chase money, material things, and people’s approval. None of it fulfilled me. But when I started chasing God, everything changed.
“Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
— Psalm 37:4 (KJV)
Serving Others in My Purpose
When I finally surrendered, God showed me my purpose. He saved my life, and now He’s using me to help others. And while I pour out, He keeps pouring into me.
I may not be perfect. I may not know every Scripture by heart. But I know how God worked in my life, and I’ll never stop talking about how good He is.
To Those Still Struggling
If you feel stuck, broken, or too far gone—you’re not. God is still reaching for you. But you’ve got to reach back.
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”
— James 4:8 (KJV)
Start by seeking Him today. Start with one conversation. One prayer. One honest moment. That’s all it takes to begin.
A Call to Repentance
You don’t need to clean yourself up to come to Jesus. Just come as you are. He knows your flaws. He sees your pain. And He still wants you.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
The Gospel: This Is How You’re Saved
-
Admit you’re a sinner
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23 (KJV)
-
Understand the penalty
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23 (KJV)
-
Believe in Jesus Christ
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8 (KJV)
-
Receive Him by faith
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
— Romans 10:9 (KJV)
If you’re ready, don’t wait. Talk to Him now. Be real. Be honest. And receive the life He’s been waiting to give you.

This isn’t just a blog. This is my story—and your invitation.
