His Name Is Jesus: The Savior Sent to Break Sin’s Power

Introduction: The Name That Changes Everything

In a world spinning deeper into confusion, rebellion, and moral decay, the name Jesus still cuts through the noise with unmatched power and clarity. His name is not just a title—it’s a mission. The angel told Joseph in a dream:

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS:
for he shall save his people from their sins.”

    (Matthew 1:21, KJV)

This verse is not a quaint Christmas story. It is the epicenter of human history. The Holy One entered a broken world—not to condemn, but to redeem. Jesus did not come to start a religion or offer self-help. He came to save sinners.

What Is Sin—and Why Do We Need to Be Saved from It?

We live in a generation that minimizes sin, redefines it, or ignores it altogether. But Scripture pulls no punches: sin is choosing your way over God’s. It is rebellion against His design, distortion of His truth, and rejection of His Lordship.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
    (Romans 3:23, KJV)

Whether it’s pride, lust, lies, greed, or idolatry—sin is not just a bad habit. It is a deadly disease with eternal consequences. Sin separates. Sin enslaves. Sin kills.

“The wages of sin is death…”
    (Romans 6:23a, KJV)

But God, rich in mercy, did not leave us there. The second part of that verse tells the story:

“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
    (Romans 6:23b, KJV)

Jesus: Sent to Save

Long before you were born, God had a rescue plan. He saw your guilt, your chains, your shame—and He sent His Son. Jesus is not just a good teacher or prophet. He is the Lamb of God, the only one qualified to bear your sin.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

    (Romans 5:8, KJV)

You didn’t earn this. You couldn’t. That’s why it’s grace—unmerited favor offered through the blood of Christ.

You are not an accident. You’ve been written into a divine story that began before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4). And that story climaxes in a rugged cross and an empty tomb.

Why This Matters Right Now

We are living in perilous times. Prophecies are unfolding. Global systems are shifting. The spirit of antichrist is moving in culture, media, education, and even religion. But while the world shakes, the Gospel remains unshaken.

    “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;
and then shall the end come.”

    (Matthew 24:14, KJV)

This isn’t just about eternity—it’s about your present. Jesus didn’t just come to save you from hell—He came to save you from yourself. From shame. From bondage. From meaningless living.

A Call to Repentance: Step Out of the Shadows

Friend, you may feel unworthy, too broken, or too far gone—but Jesus came because you are broken. That’s the whole point. The offer of salvation is not earned—it is extended. But you must respond.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted,
that your sins may be blotted out,
when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

    (Acts 3:19, KJV)

The Gospel Message: Receive the Greatest Gift

Here’s how to step into that salvation:

  1. Acknowledge your sin.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
        (Romans 3:23, KJV)

  2. Understand the cost.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
        (Romans 6:23, KJV)

  3. Believe in Jesus.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
        thou shalt be saved.”

        (Romans 10:9, KJV)

  4. Receive His grace.
        “For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

        (Ephesians 2:8–9, KJV)

Conclusion: It Is Finished—Now Come

Jesus did not come to make bad people good. He came to bring dead people to life. That life is available to you—right now. Not because of your works, but because of His wounds.

He has already paid the price.
He has already opened the door.
Now He is calling you to walk through it.

  Come.
