The Perfecting Work of Christ in a Perishing World

"Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."
— Psalm 19:13-14 (KJV)

In the midst of escalating global darkness  wars, moral decay, societal collapse, and technological overreach  many are asking, Where is God in all this? The answer, though profound, is clear: He is within His people, perfecting them through the power of the Cross.

The world sees only chaos. But the Church must see with different eyes  eyes fixed on glory, not gloom. Eyes trained to recognize the work of sanctification, even in seasons of shaking.

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
— Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

This is not the hour for self-reliance. It is the hour of surrender. The Lord speaks to His people in this moment and says:

“My work in your heart is not yet finished. I am perfecting you. I will never tire of giving myself to you.”

These words echo the very heart of sanctification  the lifelong process by which we are made holy, not by effort alone, but through the indwelling presence of Christ and the power of His blood.

A Holy Work in a Hostile Time

The Scriptures are clear:

"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory..."
— 2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)

The transformation taking place in the believer’s soul is not cosmetic. It is eternal. It is glorious. It is born at the altar of God's love and matured in the furnace of life’s trials. Every hardship is an invitation to deeper dependency on Him.

We are reminded of the Lord’s declaration:
“It is my joy to reveal my greatness in the weakness of human flesh.”

This is not new. The Apostle Paul bore the same testimony:

"My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness."
— 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

In our fragile humanity, Christ shines. The blood of Jesus does not merely cleanse  it completes. He is not waiting for you to become holy to draw near. He draws near to make you holy.

Purified Like Gold

The refining process is not without fire. Yet the Lord assures us:
“Everyone who has this hope living in them will be purified as gold.”

This directly parallels:

"And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi... that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness."
— Malachi 3:3 (KJV)

Just as gold is purified through heat, our souls are purified through trials. But that purification brings freedom  freedom from selfish ambition, from secret sins, from the hidden faults that we often excuse. This is why David cried out:

"Cleanse thou me from secret faults."
— Psalm 19:12 (KJV)

An Urgent Word for the End Times Church

We are nearing the conclusion of the age. All signs point to the soon return of Christ:

  • Global conflict and rumors of war

  • Economic instability and engineered scarcity

  • Artificial intelligence and global surveillance systems

  • Apostasy within churches and the silencing of truth

But the Lord is not surprised. He is preparing a spotless Bride, a Church made ready through suffering, sanctification, and surrender.

"That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."
— Ephesians 5:27 (KJV)

This is why you feel the pressure. This is why you sense the stirring. You are being refined, reformed, and remade for eternal glory.

A Call to Repentance

Are there secret sins ruling your life? Unspoken pride, hidden compromise, or silent rebellion? The Spirit is calling you out of concealment and into consecration.

Cry out with David:

"Cleanse thou me from secret faults... Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD."
— Psalm 19:12,14 (KJV)

Do not wait. The world is spiraling into judgment. The time to repent is now.

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near."
— Isaiah 55:6 (KJV)

The Gospel

All have sinned.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
— Romans 3:23 (KJV)

Sin brings death.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
— Romans 6:23 (KJV)

Jesus paid the price.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
— Romans 5:8 (KJV)

Confess and believe.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
— Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Salvation is not found in works, but in surrender. Confess your need for Christ. Believe He is risen. Turn from your sin. He is faithful to forgive and powerful to restore.

Conclusion

The Lord is not done with you. You are not being undone by life. You are being perfected by His Spirit. What He began, He will finish. But you must yield. You must trust. And you must walk by faith.

Keep your eyes on the joy set before you. The Cross is your victory. Christ is your hope. And the work He is doing in you is eternal.

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”
— Psalm 19:14 (KJV)
