Enjoy the Freedom of Being With Him: Rest Over Religion

“For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.”
Psalm 61:3–4, KJV

In a world obsessed with productivity, God offers something radical:
Presence over performance.
Stillness over striving.
Being over doing.

He says:
“Enjoy the freedom of being with Me.”

Not earning.
Not achieving.
Just abiding.

This is not laziness  this is love lived in its purest form.

God Desires Your Presence More Than Your Performance

“Be still, and know that I am God…”
Psalm 46:10, KJV

You were not created to burn out in religious activity.
You were created to dwell in His love.
To rest in His nearness.
To breathe deeply of His peace.

He says:
“Learn to be with Me in stillness, without worrying about what you should do.”

This is the secret place where your soul is revived.
Where His love washes over your anxious mind.
Where the depths of your being are refreshed by His Spirit.

Don’t rush past this. Don’t overlook this.
The greatest strength you will ever carry into the world flows from resting in His presence.

Your Identity is Rooted in Being, Not Doing

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 3:26, KJV

You are not what you accomplish.
You are not the sum of your output.
You are who God says you areHis child, fully loved, fully accepted, fully known.

He says:
“Who you are in this life isn’t summed up by what you do, but by who you truly are.”

When you embrace that identity, your actions naturally align with His will.
Ministry becomes overflow.
Obedience becomes joy.
Purpose becomes effortless when it flows from presence.

A Return to Childlike Simplicity

“Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 18:4, KJV

God is inviting you to return to childlike wonder  a life not defined by pressure, but by peace.
To rest in the simplicity of knowing Him.
To enjoy the gift of just being loved.

He says:
“Embrace the simplicity of childlikeness as you find yourself in Me.”

Like a child curled up in the arms of a loving Father, you don’t need to have the answers. You don’t need a plan. You don’t even need strength.

You just need to be.
With Him.
And in that stillness, your soul finds everything it truly needs.

The Gospel of Salvation

You may have been running, performing, striving  trying to be enough. But you don’t have to do any of that to be loved by God. His rest is available to all who will come. He is calling you to return to Him, to be made new, and to live in the freedom of His presence.

All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23, KJV

Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23, KJV

Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8, KJV

Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9, KJV

Receive that invitation today  not into religious performance, but into relational peace. Come. Be still. Be free.

Conclusion

God’s greatest desire is not what you can do for Him—but that you would simply be with Him.

  • Let His love quiet your striving.

  • Let His peace silence your performance.

  • Let His presence redefine your purpose.

Enjoy the freedom of being with Him.
Not just today, but every day.
In stillness.
In joy.
In rest.

He is your home. And you are His delight.
