Find Me in Your Pain: The Invitation to Healing and Wholeness

“The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.”
Psalm 145:18–19, KJV

There’s a holy invitation echoing through your weariness, sorrow, and confusion:
“Find Me in your pain.”

God is not distant from your struggle. He’s not waiting for you to "get over it" or sweep your emotions under the rug. He draws near to those who call on Him  not with perfect words, but with truthful hearts. He listens closely when you cry out.

Many believers try to suppress deep feelings like fear, anger, sadness, or anxiety, believing that faith means silence. But the Lord says otherwise:
“Acknowledge it. Bring it to Me. Let Me speak into it.”

Pain is a Signal, Not a Sentence

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7, KJV

Your pain is not a punishment  it’s often a signal. A signpost pointing to an area that needs healing.
Not all suffering is avoidable, but all suffering is redeemable when brought to the feet of Christ.

The Lord doesn’t ask you to dig around in old wounds or obsess over every emotion. But He does call you to pay attention when something triggers your heart.
Why?
Because every painful reaction often points to an unmet need, an unhealed wound, or a false belief that He wants to touch and transform.

He says:
“If you ask Me to show you the root of what you’re feeling  I will.”
Because He doesn’t just know your story. He authored it.
And He alone knows how to heal it.

He Heals in the Midst of the Pain

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
Psalm 147:3, KJV

Healing is not found in avoiding the pain.
It’s found in bringing it to God and listening to what He has to say about it.

He isn’t asking you to live a self-focused, introspective life where you constantly dwell on your pain.
He’s asking you to focus on Him in the midst of it.

This is the turning point:

  • Not “Why am I like this?”

  • But “God, what are You saying to me here?”

  • Not “How do I fix this?”

  • But “Lord, what are You healing in me?”

Healing begins when you stop hiding and start inviting God into the raw places. When you open the door and say, “This hurts… but I want to hear from You.”

The Heart of God Toward You

“Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.”
Psalm 103:13–14, KJV

God is tender toward you  not ashamed of your emotions, not impatient with your journey.
He is kind.
He is present.
He is gentle with your wounds.

And He promises to give you more than what you ask for  because He hears what your heart really longs for (Psalm 145:19).
Not just relief from pain, but restoration.
Not just comfort, but transformation.

The Gospel of Salvation

The deepest healing begins with a surrendered heart. If you’ve never encountered the love and saving power of Jesus Christ, now is the time. He came not only to save your soul  but to heal your heart.

All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23, KJV

Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23, KJV

Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8, KJV

Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9, KJV

He’s not asking you to clean yourself up  He’s asking you to come. Bring your brokenness, your wounds, your confusion  and receive His mercy, His peace, and His healing love.

Conclusion

Don’t run from your pain  run to God in the midst of it.
Ask Him to reveal what’s underneath the hurt. Invite Him to speak into the silence.
Because healing doesn’t come through understanding everything  it comes through encountering Him.

And He’s already near.
Listening.
Loving.
Ready to heal.

Find Him in your pain. He’s already looking for you.
