Born Crucified: Trading Self for Glory in the Final Hour

In a world that magnifies self-promotion, personal platforms, and the endless pursuit of recognition, the invitation of Christ still echoes: “Come, follow Me.” But for many, this road becomes narrower than they expected. There is no room on the path of righteousness for self-praise. The call of Christ is not to self-exaltation but to self-emptying   to be born crucified.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew 16:24 (KJV)

The Courage to Follow

It takes courage to follow Me!

In these last days, following Christ is not merely a decision   it is an act of spiritual bravery. The cost is high. You will be misunderstood, mocked, and at times, abandoned. Yet the reward is eternal.

Modern culture praises boldness for self   boldness to assert, demand, and promote. But the courage God requires is to die daily (1 Corinthians 15:31), to forsake all for the surpassing worth of knowing Him.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord...
Philippians 3:8 (KJV)

The Lamb Slain Before the Foundation of the World

My Son is the Lamb slain before anything was created.

Before the first star was set in place, before man was formed from dust, there was a cross in the heart of God. Jesus, the Lamb of God, was “slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:8). He came not only to live   but to die.

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians 2:8 (KJV)

The life of Christ was one of perfect submission. He delighted in the Father, and the Father delighted in Him. This is the fellowship you are called into   not a distant religion, but a participation in divine joy and suffering.

Born Crucified: Your Identity in Christ

I find My delight in you, for you also have been born crucified.

To be “born crucified” means that your life is no longer your own.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me...
Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

This is not mere metaphor. The believer’s identity is found in death and resurrection. You are not invited to remodel your life   you are called to lose it (Luke 9:24). In doing so, you gain eternity, authority, and the unshakable kingdom of God.

Leaving All to Gain All

To follow Me is not merely leaving everything; it is gaining everything.

This is the upside-down reality of the kingdom. The things we cling to in fear are the very things keeping us from fullness.

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Philippians 3:7 (KJV)

When the Lord asks you to let go of something   reputation, possessions, comfort, or even relationships   it is because He is making room for greater glory. He has deposited His Spirit in your heart, and no earthly gain compares to what is already within you.

Glory, Power, and the Coming Reign

Glory, ever-increasing glory, will surround you... All things are now yours: life, eternity, authority, power, and glory.

This echoes 2 Corinthians 3:18:

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory...
2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)

Though the world grows darker and the systems of man falter, the glory of the Lord upon His people will increase. You are an heir   not merely of promises, but of a kingdom. Every promise of God in Christ is “yea, and in him Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Even now, prophetic signs abound: wars and rumors of wars, economic collapse, the rise of lawlessness, and global deception. Yet the Church is not called to fear   we are called to rule and reign with Him.

A Call to Courageous Surrender

Can you not leave behind what clings to your soul?

This is the divine question confronting the remnant Church in the last days. What are you still clinging to? Status? Security? A version of your life that God never ordained?

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world...
1 John 2:15 (KJV)

Let your affections burn for Christ alone. Set your gaze on Him. For what lies ahead is not just persecution   it is eternal reward.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Revelation 22:12 (KJV)

A Call to Repentance

Are you walking the narrow path? Or have you tried to carry self-will, pride, or worldly ambition along the way?

The Spirit is calling the Church to deeper surrender. Not just to believe   but to be crucified with Christ. Not just to sing about Jesus   but to be conformed to His death (Philippians 3:10).

Return to the altar. Renounce anything that competes with His glory. Embrace the fire of transformation and follow wherever He leads.

The Gospel: How to Receive Eternal Life

  1. All have sinned.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
    Romans 3:23 (KJV)

  2. Sin brings death.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
    Romans 6:23 (KJV)

  3. Jesus paid the price.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
    Romans 5:8 (KJV)

  4. Confess and believe.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
    Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Conclusion: Your Great Reward Awaits

You were born into this generation for such a time as this   not to blend in, but to follow the Lamb wherever He goes (Revelation 14:4). The days are urgent. The hour is late. But His glory will rest on those who lay their lives down.

You are not losing anything   you are gaining everything.

Now, take up your cross. He is your great reward.
