Anointed Eyes: Seeing Through God’s Vision

I. The Crisis of Blindness

We live in a time when the world is darkened not only by sin but by spiritual blindness. The prophet Isaiah declared of Israel, “For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered” (Isaiah 29:10 KJV).

This same blindness now plagues modern society. Truth has been exchanged for lies, morality for confusion, and wisdom for foolishness. Even within the Church, discernment has dulled. Many see through the lens of fear, politics, or comfort, rather than through the eternal vision of Christ.

The Lord, however, calls His people to come and look upon His face, to receive the healing eye salve of revelation, echoing His words to the church of Laodicea:

“I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment... and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.”
Revelation 3:18 (KJV)

The Laodicean church was lukewarm, rich in material wealth but poor in spiritual vision. Likewise, our generation has unprecedented access to information yet suffers from unprecedented ignorance of God’s truth. The Lord is once again offering His “eye salve”, the Holy Spirit’s illumination, to awaken His Church from blindness into clarity.

II. Seeing as God Sees

When we gaze upon the Lord, our perspective changes. As the psalmist prayed, “In thy light shall we see light” (Psalm 36:9 KJV). This means that true vision, true understanding of the world, the times, and even ourselves, only comes from beholding God’s glory.

God does not see as man sees. When the prophet Samuel sought Israel’s next king, the Lord corrected him:

“For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV)

Likewise, when we see the sick, God sees the healed. When we see destruction, He sees deliverance. When we see a crumbling world, He sees His Kingdom advancing.

The invitation to “look through His eyes” is prophetic. It calls believers to align their perception with Heaven’s reality. This alignment requires spiritual renewal, for “the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God... because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV).

Through the Spirit, God anoints our vision to perceive beyond headlines, statistics, and visible circumstances, to discern His redemptive work even in chaos.

III. Prophetic Vision and the Times We Live In

We are living in what Jesus described as days of deception. “Take heed that no man deceive you” (Matthew 24:4 KJV) was His first warning in His prophetic discourse. False narratives, counterfeit signs, and moral inversion dominate our age. Artificial intelligence, digital surveillance, and media manipulation are reshaping human perception. What people see is increasingly detached from truth.

This makes the call to spiritual vision all the more urgent. Those who are led by the Spirit will not be swayed by appearances. As Paul wrote, “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV).

When many see doom, God sees the preparation of His Bride. When many see devastation, Heaven sees the birth pangs of the coming Kingdom. The Spirit is opening the eyes of the remnant Church to perceive the signs of the times, not for fear, but for faith.

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh... your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.”
Joel 2:28 (KJV)

This outpouring of divine vision is now happening. Across nations, believers are being awakened to discern both the deception of the enemy and the glory of God filling the earth.

IV. The Glory Revealed

Isaiah’s heavenly encounter gives us a glimpse of what it means to “see through God’s eyes.”

“I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up... and one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”
Isaiah 6:1, 3 (KJV)

Isaiah saw glory where others saw ruin. In his day, Israel was under judgment, but God revealed that His glory was still filling the earth. Likewise, as global instability increases, wars, natural disasters, and moral collapse, God’s glory is still advancing through His redeemed people.

When believers learn to see with unveiled eyes, they will recognize revival rising from persecution, purity emerging from pain, and redemption springing forth from judgment. This is the vision God desires to impart, a revelation that transcends circumstance.

V. Seeing Beyond the Moment

God’s Spirit gives His people the ability to “see beyond the moment and call things that are not as though they are” (Romans 4:17). This kind of faith-vision distinguishes true disciples from those who walk by sight.

In this prophetic hour, those who carry divine vision will speak life amid death, hope amid despair, and truth amid deception. The Lord is calling His Church to move from observation to proclamation, to see and then say. Like Ezekiel, we are commanded to prophesy over dry bones:

“So I prophesied as I was commanded... and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.”
Ezekiel 37:10 (KJV)

As global institutions decay, God is forming His end-time army, believers whose eyes are anointed with revelation and whose words release resurrection power.

VI. Modern Application: A Call to Discernment

The current generation faces a battle not of flesh and blood but of perception. The war for truth is a war for vision. News outlets, algorithms, and governments shape how people see reality. This fulfills Isaiah’s warning:

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness.”
Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)

To survive this deception, believers must daily “buy the eye salve” of intimacy with Christ through prayer, Scripture, and the Holy Spirit. It is in His presence that clarity returns, where confusion gives way to revelation.

The Church must be equipped not just to discern evil but to recognize glory, to perceive what God is doing beneath the surface of world events.

VII. A Call to Repentance and the Gospel Invitation

Before one can see through God’s eyes, they must first be spiritually awakened through salvation in Christ. Sin blinds the heart; grace restores sight.

All have sinned.
• “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” , Romans 3:23 (KJV)

Sin brings death.
• “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” , Romans 6:23 (KJV)

Jesus paid the price.
• “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” , Romans 5:8 (KJV)

Confess and believe.
• “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” , Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Steps to Restoration:

  1. Acknowledge your blindness and need for divine vision.

  2. Repent of sin and ask God to wash the eyes of your heart.

  3. Believe that Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection bring forgiveness and new sight.

  4. Seek the Holy Spirit’s anointing daily to walk in discernment and spiritual clarity.

Conclusion

The Lord is calling His people to a higher vision, to see not through fear, bias, or emotion, but through His eyes of redemption. The world’s headlines may scream chaos, but Heaven’s declaration is glory. The end-time Church must rise with clear spiritual sight, declaring not what is seen, but what is coming: the triumph of Christ and the establishment of His everlasting Kingdom.

As darkness increases, those with anointed eyes will shine brighter. Look upon His face, receive His eye salve, and behold the world not as it is, but as God sees it: redeemed, restored, and radiant with His glory.
