The Depths of Divine Love: The Last Days’ Call to Holiness

I. The Call to Deeper Love

There is a holy summons echoing through the Spirit in these final days, a call to go deeper in love. Not the shallow sentiment that the world parades, but the fierce, consuming love of God that transforms the human heart and conquers fear.

“Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.”
Psalm 42:7 (KJV)

The phrase “deep calleth unto deep” reflects the mysterious exchange between the infinite love of God and the yielded soul of man. The “deeper place” God calls us into is not found in comfort, convenience, or complacency, it is discovered in surrender.

In this place, superficial religion dies, pride is stripped away, and the believer learns that true holiness flows from divine love. Jesus Himself said:

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you.”
John 13:34 (KJV)

This command was not optional. In fact, in the last days, when lawlessness abounds and hearts grow cold (Matthew 24:12), it becomes the defining mark of those who truly belong to Him.

II. Love That Breaks Walls

The Lord declares that “the walls that surround you will crumble.” This is both a promise and a process. The walls of self-protection, bitterness, and fear must fall for divine love to flow freely.

Paul wrote:

“For the love of Christ constraineth us.”
2 Corinthians 5:14 (KJV)

The Greek word “constraineth” means “to compel, to press inwardly.” Divine love is not passive, it is a force that tears down every barrier within and without.

In a world fractured by ethnic hatred, political animosity, and digital isolation, only this kind of love can bridge the divide. The Church cannot reflect Christ while harboring prejudice, resentment, or spiritual pride. Love must rule the heart, not opinion or ideology.

“But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.”
Galatians 5:15 (KJV)

Modern society has weaponized words and politicized compassion, but God’s love is untamed, it sees through offense, heals broken relationships, and conquers the spirit of division.

This is the love that must rise within the end-time remnant Church: a love that endures persecution, forgives betrayal, and embraces the outcast.

III. When Resources End, Love Begins

The Lord reminds us, “When you have reached the end of your hoarded resources, My love will bring you miracles.”

This truth strikes directly at the heart of our modern dependence on self-sufficiency. We live in an age where faith is often replaced by comfort and prayer by technology. Yet divine love operates where human ability ends.

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

When we exhaust our emotional, financial, or spiritual resources, we are not defeated, we are positioned for a miracle. It is only in emptiness that fullness can come.

This principle echoes the widow of Zarephath, who gave her last handful of meal and drop of oil to Elijah and discovered the God who multiplies love in scarcity (1 Kings 17:10–16).

So too today, in a world facing economic collapse, famine, and instability, God is raising a people who love beyond lack, serve beyond fear, and trust beyond logic.

Their lives will testify that “love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13:8 KJV), even when the systems of this world do.

IV. The Strength of a Misunderstood Love

The Lord says, “Others will see this love as weakness.” This warning is vital in our age of pride and aggression. The world equates meekness with fragility, humility with defeat, and forgiveness with foolishness.

Yet the cross of Christ, the ultimate act of love, was seen as weakness by the world but stands as history’s greatest victory.

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”
1 Corinthians 1:27 (KJV)

True love is never weakness. It is the highest expression of divine power because it demands death to self. Love prays for its enemies, blesses those who curse, and endures misunderstanding without retaliation.

In the prophetic unfolding of today’s global climate, wars, persecution, and moral corruption, this kind of love will distinguish the true Church from the counterfeit. As deception spreads, the Holy Spirit will mark His elect not by eloquence or miracle-working power, but by supernatural love.

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
John 13:35 (KJV)

V. The Prophetic Context: Love in the Last Days

Jesus warned that the last days would be characterized by hatred, betrayal, and coldness of heart:

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”
Matthew 24:12 (KJV)

The Greek word for “wax cold” is psuchō, meaning “to breathe cold air upon.” It describes love that has been chilled by prolonged exposure to evil and disappointment.

We are living in that time now. Digital outrage, false prophets, and endless conflict have numbed compassion. But God is igniting a remnant with fiery love that resists the chill of the age.

While deception increases, love becomes our protection. While fear rises, love becomes our power. And while darkness deepens, love becomes our light.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear.”
1 John 4:18 (KJV)

This love will not only preserve the saints but draw the lost, heal the wounded, and prepare the Bride for the Bridegroom.

VI. The Path to True Holiness

“Come deeper into My never-failing love, and you will discover the path of true holiness.”

Holiness and love are not separate virtues, they are inseparable. To walk in holiness is to walk in divine love, for love fulfills the law (Romans 13:10).

Many pursue holiness through discipline or external conformity, yet Scripture teaches that holiness is the fruit of intimacy. It is born from proximity to the One who is love itself.

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
Hebrews 12:14 (KJV)

This pursuit is not about moral superiority but about becoming reflections of God’s heart to a dying world. As we yield to His Spirit, His love refines us, removing pride, hypocrisy, and judgmentalism.

True holiness is not sterile, it burns with compassion. It is not distant, it draws near to the broken. It is not harsh, it radiates grace.

VII. A Call to Repentance

The deeper love of God is both a comfort and a call to repentance. It exposes the shallowness of our devotion and invites us to surrender again.

The Spirit of God is calling His Church to repent of lovelessness, of coldness toward the hurting, of division within the body, of apathy toward the lost.

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.”
Revelation 2:4 (KJV)

This warning to the Church of Ephesus still resounds today. The return to first love is the preparation for the final harvest. Only a Church burning with love can withstand the pressure of persecution and the lure of compromise.

VIII. The Gospel Invitation

All have sinned.
• “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” , Romans 3:23 (KJV)

Sin brings death.
• “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” , Romans 6:23 (KJV)

Jesus paid the price.
• “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” , Romans 5:8 (KJV)

Confess and believe.
• “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” , Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Steps to Salvation:

  1. Acknowledge your sin before God.

  2. Believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for your sins and rose again.

  3. Confess Him as Lord and surrender fully to His love.

  4. Receive His Spirit and walk daily in His transforming power.

Conclusion

We are standing on the edge of eternity, and the greatest revival the world will ever see will not be marked by buildings, branding, or broadcast, but by love.

The Spirit of God is calling His people into the depths, a love that cannot be faked, cannot be extinguished, and cannot be contained.

This is the love that will heal nations, strengthen the remnant, and prepare the Bride for her Bridegroom.

When faith falters and hope fades, love remains.

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
1 Corinthians 13:13 (KJV)

Go deeper. Let the walls fall. Let His love consume everything shallow and self-made. For in the end, only love will stand, and love never fails.
