The Way Eternal: Knowing God in the Midst of Uncertainty
I. The Call to Know God Personally
“I long for you to know Me and to embrace My ways.” This is the essence of divine relationship, God’s desire for His people to truly know Him, not merely know about Him.
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”
John 17:3 (KJV)
Eternal life begins with relationship. It is not postponed until heaven but begins the moment a person encounters the living God through Christ. Many profess Christianity yet live as strangers to His voice, relying on secondhand faith and tradition rather than intimate communion.
In these last days, knowledge of about God will not sustain anyone. Only those who know Him personally will stand firm amid global deception and tribulation.
“The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
Daniel 11:32 (KJV)
The word know here (Hebrew yada) implies experiential knowledge, a relationship marked by encounter and obedience. This is the kind of knowing that transforms, stabilizes, and empowers.
II. The Way Eternal: Walking in God’s Love
God’s ways are eternal because they flow from His unchanging nature. Joy and stability come not from circumstances but from trusting the hand of divine love guiding us through every valley.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”
Isaiah 55:8 (KJV)
To walk in the way eternal is to yield to God’s higher wisdom even when life feels chaotic or unfair. The path of the believer is not defined by ease but by intimacy.
“In thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
Psalm 16:11 (KJV)
This joy, unlike worldly happiness, is rooted in God Himself. The believer who learns to find joy in God’s presence will endure trials with peace and emerge purified by love.
III. Love That Triumphs Over Every Struggle
The Lord declares, “My love will win every struggle that you face.” This is a divine reality. God’s love is not passive sentiment but active power.
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
Romans 8:37 (KJV)
The world teaches self-reliance, but the Kingdom teaches reliance upon love. Every battle the believer faces, spiritual, emotional, or physical is an opportunity for God’s love to display victory.
Even in modern crises, wars, pandemics, persecution, and moral decay, God’s love remains the ultimate weapon of triumph.
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear.”
1 John 4:18 (KJV)
As fear rises across the world, love must rise in the Church. Fear paralyzes, but love empowers. Fear blinds, but love gives vision. In the coming global shaking, only those anchored in divine love will stand unshaken.
IV. The Past and Future: Thieves of Joy
The Lord warns, “The past is a robber... the future frightens many.” These are two of the enemy’s greatest tools, regret and anxiety. Both rob believers of the joy found in God’s presence today.
“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
Regret keeps people chained to wounds God has already forgiven, while fear of the future distracts from present obedience.
Jesus addressed this clearly:
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.”
Matthew 6:34 (KJV)
In an age of uncertainty, financial instability, political unrest, and rapid technological control, fear of the future is spreading like wildfire. Yet God calls His people to trust Him for daily bread, not tomorrow’s predictions.
Faith is not found in understanding the future, but in trusting the One who holds it.
V. Stability in a Shaking World
“There is a stability that will keep you strong and focused.” This stability is desperately needed today. Every earthly system, economic, political, religious, is being shaken, just as Scripture foretold:
“Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.”
Hebrews 12:26 (KJV)
But notice what follows:
“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace.”
Hebrews 12:28 (KJV)
Stability comes not from circumstances but from grace, the unshakable favor and presence of God. The one who abides in Christ remains unmovable amid the tremors of global collapse.
“He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water... his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
Psalm 1:3 (KJV)
This rootedness comes from daily communion with God. Those who build their lives on the shifting sands of news cycles, politics, or digital systems will fall. But those rooted in Scripture and prayer will remain standing.
VI. Discipleship in the End Times
The Lord urges, “Become a disciple, a learner of My ways.” This command is foundational. Christianity without discipleship is hollow. Jesus never called people to admiration, He called them to follow.
“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Luke 9:23 (KJV)
To be a disciple is to live in surrender. The Greek word mathetes means “learner” or “student.” Discipleship is not intellectual, it is relational, involving daily obedience, study of Scripture, and surrender to the Holy Spirit.
In a culture obsessed with convenience, discipleship is costly. It demands separation from worldliness, courage under persecution, and unwavering devotion to truth.
Jesus warned:
“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”
Matthew 10:22 (KJV)
The coming persecution of the global Church will expose who truly knows Christ and who only knows about Him. Those rooted in love and truth will endure.
VII. The Triumph of Love and the Way of Intimacy
“You will know Me, not from hearsay, but from heart-deep experiences of intimacy with your God.”
This is the destiny of every believer, to know God personally. Theology without intimacy is empty; knowledge without communion is powerless.
God is not calling the Church to more programs but to deeper presence. In the days ahead, intimacy will be the key to endurance. Those who hide in His presence will not be shaken by global events or demonic deception.
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Psalm 91:1 (KJV)
This “secret place” is not mystical, it is spiritual closeness cultivated through worship, obedience, and meditation on the Word.
VIII. A Call to Repentance
The Lord’s invitation to “come and learn of the way eternal” is also a call to repentance. To learn His ways, one must forsake their own.
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him.”
Isaiah 55:7 (KJV)
Repentance is not condemnation, it is the door to restoration. The Church must repent of shallow worship, self-reliance, and distraction. God is preparing a purified Bride who knows Him intimately and walks in love, not fear.
IX. The Gospel Invitation
All have sinned.
• “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” , Romans 3:23 (KJV)
Sin brings death.
• “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” , Romans 6:23 (KJV)
Jesus paid the price.
• “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” , Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Confess and believe.
• “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” , Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Steps to Salvation:
-
Acknowledge your sin before God.
-
Believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross.
-
Confess Him as Lord and surrender your life to Him.
-
Walk daily in the joy and freedom of His presence.
Conclusion
In an age of uncertainty and fear, God is calling His people to return to the simplicity of knowing Him. The way eternal is not a doctrine, it is a Person.
Jesus Christ is that way.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 14:6 (KJV)
The world will continue to shake, but those who walk in intimacy with Him will find unshakable peace. The path of love is narrow, yet it leads to eternal joy.
Today, the Lord extends the same invitation He gave long ago: “Come unto Me.”
The question remains, will you come?
