The Final Mile
I. The Last Mile Before the Harvest
The Scriptures reveal that in the last days there will be a great ingathering of souls, a final, sweeping harvest before the return of Christ. We are now walking that final mile. The Lord is stirring the hearts of prodigals, the spiritually blind, and the deceived to return to Him in faith. This season is a fulfillment of what was prophesied:
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed" (Amos 9:13, KJV)
The body of Christ, the Bride, must be spiritually alert and positioned for this outpouring. As the world darkens, the light of Christ must shine through His people to guide the lost home.
II. Stand Firm in the Face of Darkness
The Word commands us not merely to resist, but to *stand* in the evil day. Spiritual weariness is real, but so is the supernatural strength God provides:
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand" (Ephesians 6:13, KJV)
The path may be narrow and uncertain, yet Christ, our Rock, offers unshakable ground. He is not only our Savior but our Guide, making the way straight as He leads His people through rising floodwaters of tribulation and deception.
"And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it" (Isaiah 30:21, KJV)
III. Faithful Witnesses in a Noisy World
In these final days, many voices clamor for our attention, media, politics, ideologies, but only one Voice leads to life. Christ is that Voice. He calls His people to walk in obedience and purpose. He calls us not to abandon the refining process that has shaped us, for our testimony is essential to lead others into truth:
"Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen" (Isaiah 43:10, KJV)
As faithful witnesses, we are not merely survivors, we are pathfinders. The Lord is using us to break spiritual ground so others may follow. The journey is not aimless; it is divinely orchestrated.
IV. The Role of the Remnant and Spiritual Discernment
There is a clear distinction between those who walk by the Spirit and those without eyes to see or ears to hear (Matthew 13:13). The remnant, God’s warrior Bride, has been trained through fire. The suffering, delay, and trials were not in vain. They were preparation.
This path is not for the faint-hearted. It is for those who will still stand when all others fall. The journey ahead is unfamiliar terrain, but the Lord Himself has gone before us:
"And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed" (Deuteronomy 31:8, KJV)
V. Call to Repentance
The urgency of this hour demands full surrender. There is no time to play with sin or linger in lukewarm faith. The floodwaters are rising, and those standing on unstable ground will be swept away. Now is the time to repent, to turn from dead works and cling to the Living Word:
"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near" (Isaiah 55:6, KJV)
The Lord is beckoning. Come out from the noise, the distraction, the deception, and be sanctified for the final work.
VI. The Gospel of Hope and Salvation
To those who do not yet know the Savior, hear the truth:
All have sinned.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23, KJV)
Sin brings death.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23, KJV)
Jesus paid the price.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8, KJV)
Confess and believe.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9, KJV)
Today is the day of salvation. The final mile is not a time for fear, but for faith. Come now, while mercy still flows.
Conclusion
We are nearing the end of this age. The fields are white unto harvest. The Bride must rise in strength, holiness, and purpose. Though the road ahead may be filled with darkness, confusion, and tribulation, Christ walks with us. He is the Light that pierces the night, the Shepherd who guards His flock, the Rock that will not move.
Stand on that Rock. Stay the course. Hold His hand and fix your eyes on what is eternal.
For the Lord your God goes with you, and He will never forsake you.
