Hold tightly to the Shepherd’s hand
I. The Counterfeit Flood and the Anchor of Truth
We are witnessing a rapid acceleration of deception in the earth. What was once hidden is now unfolding, and spiritual discernment has never been more critical. The apostle Paul warned that the last days would be marked by perilous times (2 Timothy 3:1), and we are living in them. The spirit of deception has been loosed upon the nations, counterfeiting the authenticity of God with alarming precision.
“For many false prophets are gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1, KJV).
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14, KJV).
Satan’s “printing press” of deception is at full capacity, imitating the things of God to lead many astray. What appears holy to the untrained eye is a snare. This is why it is essential to remain anchored, not in emotion, not in experience, but in the Word of God.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105, KJV).
“He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock” (Luke 6:48, KJV).
II. The Spirit of Laziness and the Call to Watchfulness
The days ahead will not allow for spiritual laziness. Many are moving at “half-throttle,” unaware that subtle compromises are leading to spiritual traps. The parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1–13) reminds us that only those with oil in their lamps will be ready for the Bridegroom.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8, KJV).
“Watch ye therefore, and pray always” (Luke 21:36, KJV).
This is not a time to run ahead of God’s timing or lag behind in hesitation. The narrow path requires intimacy with the Shepherd, step by step, without deviation.
“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it” (Isaiah 30:21, KJV).
III. Walking Through the Valley with Courage
As the valley of the shadow of death casts its gloom over the nations, we are not abandoned. We are not defeated. The same God who led Israel through the wilderness walks with us still.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4, KJV).
Though chaos swirls around us, economic collapse, wars, natural disasters, global shaking, we are not called to fear. We are called to testify of His peace.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7, KJV).
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God” (Isaiah 41:10, KJV).
IV. The Spirit of Death and Deception Released
The prophetic warnings are clear: the angel of death and the spirit of deception have been released upon the earth. This parallels the judgments God allowed in Egypt, a foreshadowing of what is now global.
“There shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more” (Exodus 11:6, KJV).
“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie” (2 Thessalonians 2:11, KJV).
But for those hidden in Christ, no plague shall come near their dwelling. The remnant is protected, not by physical might, but by spiritual positioning, anchored in Christ.
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1, KJV).
“There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling” (Psalm 91:10, KJV).
V. The Warrior Bride: Refined and Prepared
This is not the time for the Bride of Christ to question her refinement. The fire you have walked through has produced purity and strength. Your obedience, though costly, has not gone unseen.
“But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10, KJV).
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6, KJV).
We are not victims of the hour. We are victors in Christ. We are not left to drift in confusion but are called to stand firm in our identity.
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37, KJV).
“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9, KJV).
VI. A Time of Reckoning and Redemption
God is allowing darkness for a divine reason, to expose the hidden things of evil and bring about His glory. What appears as Satan’s victory is simply a stage for the Lord’s great unveiling. The enemy’s roar will soon be silenced by the roar of the Lion of Judah.
“The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake” (Joel 3:16, KJV).
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:1, KJV).
The corruptible things of this world are crumbling, but we stand on an unshakable Kingdom.
“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace” (Hebrews 12:28, KJV).
VII. A Call to Repentance and Return
This is a final cry for repentance. The storm is not coming, it is already here. And yet, God’s arms remain open to those who would turn from sin and return to Him with all their hearts.
“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6, KJV).
“Rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God” (Joel 2:13, KJV).
This is the hour for the prodigal to return, for the slumbering to awaken, and for the Bride to prepare herself.
VIII. The Gospel Invitation
All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 (KJV)
Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
IX. Conclusion
The storm has come, but our Savior still calms the winds and the waves. While the world is tossed in confusion, those anchored in Christ will not be moved. Let the Warrior Bride arise, refined by fire, clothed in righteousness, and walking in power. Hold tightly to the Shepherd’s hand. The valley of death may surround us, but we do not walk alone. The Lion of Judah is near. Prepare the way. He comes soon.
