The Author of Peace
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
We are entering a prophetic hour that resembles Israel standing at the edge of the Jordan. The wilderness season was not the promise. It was preparation.
Throughout Scripture, God leads His people through desolate places before revealing His glory in fulfillment.
I. From Wilderness to Inheritance
When Israel crossed the Jordan, they encountered giants and fortified cities. Yet the Lord declared:
“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life… I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Joshua 1:5 (KJV)
Giants falling and walls crumbling are not metaphors alone. They represent entrenched systems of sin, generational strongholds, and spiritual bondage.
Paul reminds us:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.” 2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)
In our generation, strongholds manifest in ideological deception, addiction, generational trauma, technological idolatry, and moral confusion. Entire cultures are shaped by narratives that oppose the knowledge of God.
But when the Lord moves, He dismantles what has stood for generations.
II. Traps Turned Back on the Enemy
The enemy sets snares.
“The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands.” Psalm 9:16 (KJV)
The adversary constructs traps through division, fear, misinformation, and manipulation. Yet Scripture reveals a divine reversal principle. Haman built gallows for Mordecai and was hanged upon them himself. Pharaoh enslaved Israel and was swallowed by the sea.
God declares:
“Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel.” Numbers 23:23 (KJV)
In an age of spiritual confusion and open hostility toward biblical truth, the Lord remains sovereign. What the enemy intends for harm becomes an instrument for deliverance.
III. A New Exodus
The language of slavery and freedom echoes Exodus.
“I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” Exodus 20:2 (KJV)
Today, Egypt represents systems of bondage, whether spiritual, cultural, economic, or ideological.
Jesus declared:
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36 (KJV)
We are witnessing a generation awakening from spiritual captivity. Many who wandered blindly are beginning to see. Hearts are being aligned from north, south, east, and west.
“And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham.” Matthew 8:11 (KJV)
The harvest is global.
IV. Pentecost Winds in a Divided Age
The early church experienced a divine disruption:
“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind.” Acts 2:2 (KJV)
The Spirit did not move privately. He moved publicly.
In our time, unity gatherings, prayer movements, and digital evangelism are expanding across continents. Even in hostile environments, believers are uniting. In homes, streets, and businesses, not merely in buildings.
Pentecost was never confined to architecture.
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV)
The Spirit empowers surrendered vessels. Faith activates faith.
“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23 (KJV)
V. The Author of Peace
God speaks worlds into existence.
“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.” 1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV)
As nations wrestle with instability, moral upheaval, and escalating conflict, the Church must not retreat in fear. Instead, she must speak truth.
One word from the Lord creates worlds.
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God.” Hebrews 11:3 (KJV)
His Word saves souls.
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 (KJV)
VI. Stand Strong and Courageous
The command is not new.
“Be strong and of a good courage.” Joshua 1:6 (KJV)
This strength is not self-generated.
“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 (KJV)
Victory belongs to Christ.
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore… and have the keys of hell and of death.” Revelation 1:18 (KJV)
He conquered death, hell, and the grave.
A Call to Repentance
This is not a time for distraction. It is a time for consecration.
If God is dismantling strongholds, examine your own heart. Remove compromise. Lay down pride. Surrender fully.
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God.” 1 Peter 5:6 (KJV)
Stand strong, not in arrogance, but in obedience.
The Gospel Invitation
All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 (KJV)
Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Choose this day whom you will serve. Surrender to Christ. Receive eternal life. Walk in the Spirit.
Conclusion
The wilderness is ending. The promise is unfolding. Giants are falling. The harvest is rising.
You were not created for retreat. You were called for this appointed hour.
Stand strong. Be courageous. The Lord has gone before you.
