The Waves Approach
“Choose you this day whom ye will serve.” Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
We are entering a season where spiritual language becomes visible reality. Scripture speaks of waves, shaking, pestilence, and separation. These are not poetic exaggerations. They are prophetic markers.
There is a preparation taking place. Not merely institutional, but bridal. The Lord is preparing a people for eternity. Yet preparation and judgment move side by side.
I. The Two Waves: Glory and Destruction
Scripture reveals both an outpouring of glory and an outpouring of judgment in the last days.
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh.” Joel 2:28 (KJV)
At the same time:
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity.” Luke 21:25 (KJV)
One wave is the Spirit moving in power. The other is consequence falling upon rebellion.
The imagery of torrents and shaking reflects what Jesus described:
“And there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Matthew 24:7 (KJV)
In our present hour, pestilence has circled the globe. Crops fail under climate extremes and conflict. Supply chains fracture. Rivers overflow. Earthquakes increase in frequency and intensity. Entire regions experience flooding, famine, or war simultaneously.
These are not isolated crises. They form a pattern consistent with prophetic warnings.
II. The Urgency of Choice
There is no neutral ground in Scripture.
“He that is not with me is against me.” Matthew 12:30 (KJV)
Jesus declared clearly:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 (KJV)
The culture increasingly promotes spiritual pluralism. Many roads. Many saviors. Many truths. Yet the Word of God remains exclusive and unchanging.
The enemy’s strategy is theft.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” John 10:10 (KJV)
When a soul rejects Christ, it does not remain unclaimed. It is captured by deception.
The hour demands decision. Delay hardens the heart.
“Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” Hebrews 3:15 (KJV)
III. The Shepherd and the Lion
There are two dimensions of Christ revealed in Scripture.
The Shepherd:
“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John 10:11 (KJV)
The Lion:
“Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda.” Revelation 5:5 (KJV)
His face toward you depends upon your response to Him. Toward the repentant, mercy flows. Toward hardened rebellion, judgment falls.
“For the Lord shall rise up… that he may do his work, his strange work.” Isaiah 28:21 (KJV)
Judgment is described as strange because mercy is His delight.
“For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth.” Ezekiel 18:32 (KJV)
He desires salvation. Yet justice is part of His nature.
IV. Awakening Through Judgment
Scripture shows that shaking awakens sleepers.
“Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” Ephesians 5:14 (KJV)
When pestilence invades and crops fail, when financial systems wobble and war expands, many who trusted in worldly stability begin to question their foundations.
The earth shaking is both literal and symbolic.
“The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard.” Isaiah 24:20 (KJV)
Modern society has pursued gain, technology, and economic dominance. Yet Jesus warned:
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36 (KJV)
The hour is late. The pursuit of worldly gain cannot secure eternal life.
V. The Love That Still Calls
Even in warning, love is evident.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.” John 3:16 (KJV)
Salvation is offered freely to all who come.
“Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” John 6:37 (KJV)
No one is excluded except those who refuse.
The door remains open. But Scripture also warns:
“When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door.” Luke 13:25 (KJV)
There will be a closing.
A Call to Repentance
The shaking is mercy before finality. Do not wait for greater devastation to awaken you. Turn now. Seek the Shepherd before facing the Lion in judgment.
The Spirit is calling. The time is short.
“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found.” Isaiah 55:6 (KJV)
The Gospel Invitation
All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 (KJV)
Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Repent. Turn from sin. Place your trust fully in Jesus Christ. Receive His grace. Walk in obedience. Be filled with His Spirit.
Conclusion: The Hour of Decision
Waves are rising. Shaking is increasing. Pestilence spreads. The earth trembles.
But mercy still calls.
You will ride one wave or the other. Glory or judgment. Salvation or separation.
Choose today. The Bridegroom is near.
