A Prophetic Warning: The 70 Martyrs and the Call to Watchfulness and Repentance
Introduction: A Wake-Up Call to the Church
The recent beheading of 70 Christians in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is not just another tragic event—it is a prophetic sign from God, a wake-up call for His people to watch, pray, and prepare. This event aligns with biblical prophecy, the cry of the martyrs, and the unfolding of end-time events.
Revelation 6:9-11 (KJV) – "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."
🔹 These martyrs are part of this prophecy—their blood cries out to the Lord, signaling that the time of God’s judgment is drawing closer.
🔹 The Bible foretells persecution, but it also calls the Church to stand firm in faith.
1. Why Does God Allow This? – Job 14:5
Many ask, "Why does God allow His people to suffer?" But the Bible tells us that every person’s days are ordained by God.
Job 14:5 (KJV) – "Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass."
🔹 Nothing happens outside of God’s sovereign plan.
🔹 The 70 martyrs have fulfilled their calling, and their sacrifice is a warning to the Church to remain steadfast in faith and prepare for what is coming.
2. The Meaning of 70 – A Call to Watchfulness and Repentance
The number 70 in Scripture symbolizes:
✅ Completion (God’s plan unfolding)
✅ Judgment (warning of impending events)
✅ The nations (global impact)
✅ A call to be spiritually awake
Mark 13:33 (KJV) – "Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is."
Luke 21:36 (KJV) – "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
🔹 The number of martyrs is not a coincidence—it is a divine warning to the Church to stay spiritually awake and prepare.
We must repent now, while there is still time!
3. Isaiah 18: A Prophecy About Africa and the End-Times
The Holy Spirit led me to Isaiah 18, which describes a land beyond the rivers of Ethiopia.
Isaiah 18:1 (KJV) – "Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia."
Where did this massacre take place? The DRC, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia!
🔹 This is a prophetic connection between Africa and the end times.
🔹 God is calling His people to repentance and readiness.
Zephaniah 3:10 Confirms This
Zephaniah 3:10 (KJV) – "From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering."
🔹 The African martyrs are bringing an offering of their lives before the Lord.
🔹 This tragedy is a trumpet blast, calling the Church to repentance and revival.
Isaiah 18:3 (KJV) – "All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye."
🔹 The trumpet is sounding! Are you listening?
4. What Comes Next? Prophecy Unfolding!
December 8, 2024 – The Invasion of Damascus
Just two months ago, Damascus was invaded, and the city is facing destruction, economic collapse, and war.
Isaiah 17:1 (KJV) – "Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap."
🔹 Isaiah 17 prophesies the destruction of Damascus—this is happening right now!
Isaiah 19 – Judgment on Egypt
- Economic crisis, civil war, and spiritual upheaval.
Isaiah 21 – The Fall of Babylon
- A global power will collapse.
- Many believe this could symbolize the fall of a major Western nation or a one-world system.
🔹 We are on the edge of major biblical prophecy unfolding!
5. The Call to Repentance: The Gospel of Jesus Christ
The Bible is clear: Now is the time to repent and turn to Christ!
Acts 17:30-31 (KJV) – "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."
Do You Know Jesus?
1️⃣ We are all sinners – "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
2️⃣ The wages of sin is death – "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
3️⃣ Jesus paid the price – "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
4️⃣ Salvation is through faith in Christ alone – "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
🔥 Jesus is the only way!
John 14:6 (KJV) – "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
6. Final Prayer: A Call to Repentance and Strength
🙏 Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts. We see the signs of the times, and we ask for wisdom and discernment. Strengthen Your people in the face of persecution.
