Christianity Is Not a Religion. It Is a Relationship with Christ.
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3 (KJV) Many people reject Christianity without ever hearing the true Gospel. Why? Because they think Christianity is simply another religion. They picture: Rules. Rituals. Denominations. Performance. Trying to earn God's approval. But when we open the Scriptures, we find something radically different. The Gospel is not about climbing our way to God. It is about God coming down to us through Jesus Christ. I. Religion Says, "Earn It." The Gospel Says, "Receive It." Every man-made religion centers on what humanity must do. The Gospel centers on what Christ has already done. Jesus declared from the cross: “It is finished.” John 19:30 (KJV) Our salvation is not built upon our performance. It rests upon Christ's finished work. “For by grace are ye saved through faith... not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) No one earns...
