Are Atheists and Secularists Being Used by Satan? A Biblical Perspective

Introduction: The Two Kingdoms

Many people today, especially atheists and secularists, believe they are free thinkers, living life on their own terms. However, the Bible makes it clear that there are only two spiritual paths:

Serving God and doing His will
Rejecting God and, by default, serving Satan

Matthew 12:30 (KJV)"He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad."

🔹 There is no spiritual neutrality. If someone is not living for God, they are unknowingly fulfilling the desires of Satan’s kingdom.

Who Rules This World?

2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV)"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

🔹 Satan is called "the god of this world" because he influences those who reject Christ.

John 8:44 (KJV)"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do."

🔹 This verse is not just about those who consciously worship Satan—it includes anyone rejecting God’s authority.

1. The One Law of Satanism: “Do What Thou Wilt”

The core principle of Satanism is:

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law." – Aleister Crowley

🔹 This mirrors the modern secular mindset:

  • “Follow your truth.”
  • “Do whatever makes you happy.”
  • “Live life without rules.”

The problem is that this leads to spiritual destruction.

Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

🔹 The world tells us to follow our desires, but the Bible warns that human nature is corrupt and leads to destruction.

Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV)"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

2. The Bible vs. Secularism

🔹 Secularism says: “Live for yourself.”
🔹 The Bible says: "Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Christ." (Matthew 16:24)

🔹 Secularism says: “Truth is subjective.”
🔹 The Bible says: "Thy word is truth." (John 17:17)

🔹 Secularism says: "There is no God."
🔹 The Bible says:

Psalm 14:1 (KJV)"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."

🔹 Atheism is not just disbelief in God—it is a deception that leads people into spiritual blindness.

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

🔹 Many secularists believe they are “free”, but they are actually being used by spiritual forces they do not understand.

3. The Fruits of the Spirit vs. The Fruits of the Flesh

Before coming to Christ, people are controlled by their sinful nature.

Galatians 5:19-21 (KJV)"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like."

🔹 Without Christ, people naturally follow these desires.

But when a person comes to Christ, their life changes:

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

🔹 Following God leads to true peace and self-control—not reckless self-indulgence.

4. The Deception of Sin and the Need for Christ

Romans 6:23 (KJV)"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

🔹 Sin enslaves people without them even realizing it.
🔹 Satan doesn’t need people to worship him—he just needs them to reject God.

John 10:10 (KJV)"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

🔹 Jesus came to break the chains of sin and give people true freedom.

5. The Call to Repentance and Salvation

Friend, if you are living without Christ, you are in spiritual danger. But there is hope!

Acts 17:30 (KJV)"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent."

The Gospel Message

1️⃣ We are all sinners.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

2️⃣ Sin leads to death and separation from God.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

3️⃣ Jesus Christ died and rose again to save us.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

4️⃣ Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)

What Should You Do?

✔️ Repent of your sins. (Acts 3:19)
✔️ Believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. (John 3:16)
✔️ Follow Him and be transformed. (Romans 12:2)

6. Final Thoughts: Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve

Joshua 24:15 (KJV)"Choose you this day whom ye will serve."

📢 There is no middle ground. You are either following Christ or you are following Satan, whether knowingly or unknowingly.

✝️ Jesus Christ is calling you today! Will you answer?

🔥 Do not wait—tomorrow is not promised! 🔥

🙏 Pray this today:
"Lord Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner and that I need You. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I repent and turn to You as my Savior. Please forgive me, fill me with Your Spirit, and lead me in truth. In Jesus' name, Amen!"

🙌 If you prayed this, welcome to the family of God!
