π¨ Beware of Prosperity Gospel Scams
Why You Don’t Have to Pay for God’s Favor
π― What Happened:
A recent video exposes a well-known spiritual advisor connected to Donald Trump for promoting a distorted teaching rooted in the prosperity gospel. In her message, she claimed that if you donate $1,000 or more, you will receive a list of seven powerful blessings, including:
-
✅ Sevenfold increase
-
✅ Angelic protection
-
✅ Prosperity
-
✅ Perfect health
-
✅ Long life
-
✅ Inheritance multiplication
-
✅ A “special year” of divine favor
All allegedly based on Exodus 23 and tied to the seasons of Passover and Easter, implying this is a limited-time opportunity to “activate” these blessings through financial giving.
πΈ The Problem: Scripture Twisted for Profit
This is a classic example of prosperity gospel manipulation — misusing Scripture to promise earthly blessings in exchange for money.
Let’s be clear:
God’s blessings are not for sale.
Jesus already paid the full price on the cross.
You don’t have to "buy" what He freely gives by grace through faith.
“Come, buy without money and without price.”
— Isaiah 55:1
This type of teaching plays on the vulnerable, turning faith into a financial transaction. It’s not biblical — it’s spiritual extortion disguised in religious language.
π What the Bible Actually Teaches About Giving:
Let Scripture interpret Scripture — not emotion, pressure, or celebrity status.
π₯ On Manipulative Giving:
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion…”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7
“Freely you have received; freely give.”
— Matthew 10:8
“You cannot serve both God and money.”
— Matthew 6:24
“The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.”
— 1 Timothy 6:10
God doesn’t want compelled gifts — He desires cheerful, Spirit-led generosity.
π What Real Blessing Looks Like:
If you're in Christ, you don’t need a “seed gift” to unlock blessings.
You already have:
-
πΈ Every spiritual blessing in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3)
-
πΈ Unshakable inheritance (1 Peter 1:4)
-
πΈ Daily access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16)
God doesn’t sell miracles.
He gives them — freely, fully, and forever — through Jesus Christ.
π§ Final Thoughts:
✅ You don’t need to buy a crystal cross.
✅ You don’t need to sow a “Passover seed.”
✅ You don’t need to give $1,000 to be healed, protected, or favored.
If someone tells you otherwise, they are not preaching the Gospel — they’re running a spiritual scam.
Give because you love God.
Not because someone guilted you.
Not because you’re scared to miss a blessing.
“Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
— Jeremiah 9:24
π️ A Prayer for Discernment:
"Lord, help me to give with joy, not fear.
Let me never fall into the trap of buying Your favor.
Guard my heart from spiritual deception.
Let me rest in the finished work of Jesus — not gimmicks or greed."
Amen.
✝️ The Gospel Call: Have you accepted Jesus' gift?
Jesus is coming not just as Savior, but as Judge.
If you don’t know Him — or if you’ve been drifting — come home today.
Here’s how:
1️⃣ Recognize your sin
“For all have sinned…” — Romans 3:23
2️⃣ Understand the consequence
“The wages of sin is death…” — Romans 6:23
3️⃣ Receive the free gift
“But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus…” — Romans 6:23
4️⃣ Confess and believe
“If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart…” — Romans 10:9
5️⃣ Repent and follow Him
“Repent… and your sins will be blotted out.” — Acts 3:19
