Renewed Minds in a Deceived World

  1. Do not conform to this age — do not adopt the values, ideologies, and obsessions of a fallen world.
  2. Be transformed — metamorphoล in Greek — the same word used to describe Jesus' transfiguration (Matthew 17:2). It implies a complete inner change wrought by the Spirit of God.

How to Renew Your Mind

1. Submit Your Thoughts to God

“Take every thought captive to obey Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5
Ask yourself:

  • Is this thought from truth or fear?
  • Does it glorify Christ or promote self?
  • Does it draw me closer to the kingdom, or deeper into compromise?

2. Meditate on What Is True

“Whatever is true… think on these things.” — Philippians 4:8
The world feeds us lies — about identity, morality, and eternity.
Meditating on God's truth is not passive — it's a spiritual weapon.

3. Let the Holy Spirit Rewire You

“Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” — Ephesians 4:23
You may carry trauma, lies, or cultural programming.
Let the Holy Spirit cleanse, correct, and rebuild your mindset with eternal truth.

The Fruit of a Renewed Mind

  • You’ll begin to discern God's will, even when culture pressures you to compromise.
  • Your affections will shift — you’ll love what God loves and hate what He hates.
  • You’ll be transformed into someone who radiates Christ, not just imitates religion.

Gospel Message: The Ultimate Mind Renewal

God doesn’t just want to improve your life — He wants to rescue your soul.

The greatest transformation happens when we surrender to the truth of the gospel:

  1. You were created for fellowship with God, but sin has separated you.

  2. The penalty for sin is death — eternal separation from God.

    “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 6:23

  3. Jesus paid the price for your sin on the cross, and rose again.

  4. If you confess and believe in Jesus, you will be saved.

He is not only the Savior of your soul, but the renewer of your mind.
