God Is Tearing Down Idols: A Wake-Up Call for the Church
"Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen."

In this season, the Spirit of God is moving mightily to purify His people. One of the chief areas where hidden idolatry is being exposed is in the love of entertainment — particularly in the obsession surrounding professional sports.
Let me be clear: there is nothing inherently sinful about enjoying a football game. Recreation and relaxation have their place. However, when the passion, emotion, and devotion poured into a sport surpass the zeal we have for our Creator, we have crossed the line into idolatry.
The Subtle Rise of Idolatry
The Apostle Paul warned the early church:
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters... shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Modern idolatry often comes disguised, not as golden calves, but as misplaced passions.
When you know more about team statistics than the Word of God, when you spend more time discussing the victories of athletes than the victories of Christ, your heart has been captured by another master.
Jesus said:
"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

Where is your heart today?
A Prophetic Warning for This Season
God is freeing His people from these hidden snares, calling them to a deeper intimacy with Him. He is jealous for our full affection:
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
—Exodus 20:3 (KJV)
In a generation flooded with distractions — endless media, entertainment, and sports spectacles — the Lord is drawing a clear line.
He is purifying a bride who is fully devoted, fully awake, fully watching for His return.
This season is not about legalism or joylessness.
It is about priority and worship.
It is about the first love that Christ calls us to:
"Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love."

He is calling His church back to Him.
End-Time Urgency
With wars raging, economies shaking, and deception rising, it is vital that believers are not caught up in the spirit of this world.
The days of casual Christianity are over.
The bride must make herself ready (Revelation 19:7).
The Apostle John, who saw the future judgment of Babylon — a symbol of worldly pleasure and idolatry — declared:
"Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."

The call to come out is urgent.
The call to forsake idols is serious.
The call to fix our eyes on Christ alone is louder than ever.
A Call to Repentance
Beloved, if you sense the Spirit convicting your heart, respond.
Repent and return to the Lord with your whole heart:
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Do not allow a passing affection for worldly things to cost you intimacy with God.
Cast down every idol.
Fix your eyes upon Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
The Gospel Invitation
To those who have wandered far:
Jesus Christ calls you today to repentance, to new life, and to eternal salvation.

Acknowledge your sin before God (Romans 3:23).

Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again (Romans 10:9).

Repent and turn to Him by faith (Acts 3:19).
He is ready to forgive, ready to renew, ready to receive you.
