The Final Call: What Will Keep You Out of Heaven

"He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."

Proverbs 28:13 (KJV)

We live in a world that cries out for blessings but not for repentance. There is a hunger for the peace of God without the presence of God. Many want the crown without the cross, heaven without holiness, and grace without surrender. But the Word of God makes it clear: holiness is not optional.

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord."
Hebrews 12:14 (KJV)

This message is not to condemn but to awaken. The shaking has begun, and the window of mercy is closing. Let us examine what the Lord reveals will keep many from entering His Kingdom:

1. Unrepented Sin

"I do not forgive what you excuse. I do not cover what you hide. I cleanse what you confess and forsake."

The gospel of grace is not a license to sin. It is the power to be free from it. Jesus did not die so we could stay bound, but so we could be delivered. We must lay our sins at the cross in full surrender.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9 (KJV)

2. Idolatry

Modern-day idols wear suits, have social media platforms, and sometimes stand behind pulpits. Whether it's a relationship, title, political ideology, or ministry position, anything we elevate above God becomes an idol.

"Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen."
1 John 5:21 (KJV)

3. Unforgiveness

Bitterness builds a wall between us and God. Many pray for mercy while withholding it from others.

"But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Matthew 6:15 (KJV)

4. Sexual Immorality

Culture celebrates what Scripture condemns. Adultery, fornication, lust, and pornography are not just "private sins" they are soul destroyers.

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators... nor adulterers... shall inherit the kingdom of God."
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (KJV)

5. Witchcraft and Compromise

You cannot mix the holy with the profane. Horoscopes, crystals, psychics, and energy healing are not harmless. They are demonic gateways.

"There shall not be found among you any one that... useth divination, or an observer of times... for all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD."
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (KJV)

6. Pride

Pride is spiritual blindness. When we exalt our opinions above God’s Word, we are no longer walking in truth but in rebellion.

"God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."
James 4:6 (KJV)

7. Lukewarmness

"You sing about revival but live in rebellion. I warned you. I will spit out the lukewarm."

This is the state of much of the modern church. Comfortable but compromised. Present in the pew but absent from the altar.

"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."
Revelation 3:16 (KJV)

Judgment Begins in the House of God

Even those who stand behind pulpits are not exempt. Titles will not save anyone. Many preach holiness publicly while living in hidden sin.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
Matthew 7:21 (KJV)

A Pattern of Warnings

Throughout Scripture, God always sent a voice before the judgment:

  • Noah before the flood (Genesis 6:13, 2 Peter 2:5)

  • Lot before the fire (Genesis 19:12-13)

  • Moses before Egypt's plagues (Exodus 7-12)

  • Jonah before Nineveh's warning (Jonah 3:4)

  • Jeremiah before Babylon (Jeremiah 25:4-7)

  • Jesus before Jerusalem’s fall (Matthew 23:37-38)

  • The two witnesses before final wrath (Revelation 11:3-6)

"Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."
Amos 3:7 (KJV)

Repent and Return

"Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."
2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)

The hour is late. The call is clear. The door will not stay open forever. This is the final call for many. Jesus is coming not for the lukewarm, the entitled, or the pretenders, but for the pure, the burning, and the obedient.

The Gospel Invitation

All have sinned.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23 (KJV)

Sin brings death.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 6:23 (KJV)

Jesus paid the price.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8 (KJV)

Confess and believe.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Conclusion

This word was not written in rage but in grief. The mercy of God still calls. The blood of Jesus still speaks. The Spirit still draws. But the time is short. Lay down your sin. Rise in holiness. Be ready. For He is coming.

"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."
Matthew 5:8 (KJV)
