Turn, America, Turn: A Prophetic Call to a Nation on the Edge
The Lord speaks. The warnings have gone forth for years dreams, visions, and prophetic voices proclaiming the same truth: judgment is at the door. Yet America, once a nation blessed beyond measure, remains hardened. The cry of the Lord is clear:
“Turn, America, turn. Rebellious nation, turn to Me and live.”
A Nation in Defiance
This word came with weight, urgency, and finality. The Lord declares carnage, bloodshed, and catastrophic loss of life. He rebukes the nation for its pride, idolatry, and moral filth. He indicts not only the wickedness of leadership but the silence and complicity of the people.
“Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies: But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow. For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.”
—Psalm 78:56–58 (KJV)
From the shedding of innocent blood to the rampant sexual perversion, from mocking the name of Jesus to defiling His covenant, the Lord’s patience has run out. This is not merely a moral decline. It is spiritual treason. America has forsaken the Lord her Maker.
“The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked.”
—Nahum 1:3 (KJV)
Divine Warnings Ignored
God reveals that America’s enemies have infiltrated the land through its own open gates. This is not foreign warfare it is judgment from within. The prophets warned. The watchmen cried out. Yet the people turned to astrologers, psychics, and false prophets for direction.
“Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.”
—Jeremiah 23:1 (KJV)
The church in America largely turned a blind eye. Compromised pulpits offered self-help sermons in place of truth. The shepherds grew fat while the sheep were scattered. And now, disaster is stirring from coast to coast.
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.”
—Jeremiah 25:32 (KJV)
A Jealous God Will Not Be Mocked
This word resounds with righteous indignation. The Lord identifies the sins of the nation:
-
Public mockery of Jesus Christ
-
Celebration of abomination and lust
-
Rejection of His Word and His ways
-
Innocent blood crying out from the ground
-
Hearts hardened beyond correction
This is not about political failure. It is spiritual rebellion. And the time of judgment is no longer a distant threat it is imminent.
“The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries.”
—Nahum 1:2 (KJV)
A Narrow Window of Mercy
Yet even amid judgment, the voice of mercy still pleads:
“Repent while there is time. Acknowledge your guilt. Cry out with a loud voice. Ask Me to forgive you. Turn from your wicked ways and live.”
God does not delight in destruction. He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11). His call is still open for those who will humble themselves.
“If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.”
—Job 8:6 (KJV)
America still has a choice. Individuals still have a choice. The nation may be headed toward desolation, but you can find refuge in the Savior.
A Call to Personal Repentance
This is the Gospel. And it is the only hope in an age of coming wrath. Judgment is just, but mercy is still available. Will you heed the call?
All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23 (KJV)Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” —Romans 6:23 (KJV)Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8 (KJV)Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” —Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Conclusion
The warnings are no longer whispers. They are roars from heaven. God is not mocked. His justice will not sleep forever. But He still offers you life eternal, abundant, and sealed by His Son. If you’re reading this, it’s not too late.
Repent. Return. Be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ before the darkness falls. Because the hour is much later than we think.
