Come to Me First: Returning to the Only Source Who Satisfies
“Beloved, when trials darken your path and trauma threatens to swallow you, reach for Me.”
The Lord is not waiting to be your backup plan He is beckoning you to make Him your first response. In a world obsessed with instant feedback, public venting, and quick solutions, God is calling His people back to the secret place.
The Peace That Surpasses Emotion and Panic
“Reach for Me in the rush of emotion and exasperation, for I am the peace that surpasses all understanding.”
When anxiety surges and emotions flood in like a storm, the only place that can anchor you is His presence.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7 (KJV)
This peace cannot be manufactured. It doesn’t come from a conversation or a comment section. It comes from the One who calms storms the God who never panics.
He Is the Answer, the Healing, the Wisdom, the Breakthrough
“I am the answer you need. I am the healing. I am the wisdom. I am the safety. I am the breakthrough.”
Everything you seek from others comfort, clarity, direction, relief is already available in Him. Yet too often, we chase horizontal solutions for problems only Heaven can solve.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1 (KJV)
God is not far. He is present and He wants to be your first stop, not your last resort.
Stop Broadcasting and Start Bowing
“Don’t reach to others first… Don’t broadcast your need to the world before you have sought My wisdom.”
We live in a culture that teaches us to broadcast our burdens before bringing them to the throne. But public exposure often produces public confusion not peace.
God doesn’t shame you for reaching out to people but He invites you first to reach up.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)
You can’t expect divine direction if you haven’t consulted the Divine.
He Speaks Through Stillness
“I also speak to you from the place of stillness. The place of My presence.”
If you’re constantly distracted, hurried, or reactive, you may miss the whisper of God. He rarely shouts above the noise He waits for your attention in the stillness.
“Be still, and know that I am God…”
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
Stillness doesn’t mean inactivity. It means intentional quiet a posture of trust that says, “I don’t need answers from man when I can hear from God.”
Come to Him First: That’s the Command, That’s the Key
“I want you to depend on Me more than any other.”
It’s not wrong to have mentors, friends, or godly counsel. But when we lean on people before leaning on God, we unintentionally place others on thrones they were never meant to sit on.
Jesus said it plainly:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
What are you seeking first when trouble hits? When your heart breaks? When you're offended or confused?
Is it comfort or Christ? Is it reaction or revelation?
A Call to Repentance
Have you run to people, platforms, or personal coping mechanisms before running to God? If so, repent. Not from guilt but from misplaced dependence.
Return to the secret place. God doesn’t just tolerate your panic He invites you to bring it to Him.
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
Let Him carry what you’ve been posting about, crying about, overanalyzing, and trying to fix. He alone is the Savior.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ
Before you can come to God as your refuge, you must first come to Him as your Redeemer. Jesus died not just to bring peace to your circumstances, but to reconcile you to the Father for eternity.
All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 (KJV)
Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Final Thoughts
Before you vent, post, spiral, or shut down come to Him.
Before the panic. Before the overthinking. Before the breakdown.
Come. To. Him. First.
He is peace.
He is wisdom.
He is healing.
He is God.
And He is enough.
