He Can Save the One: Trusting God for the Lost You Love
“You believe I am powerful enough to save all humanity… then why do you doubt that I can save the one you’ve been praying for?”
This word goes straight to the aching heart the intercessor weary from waiting, the parent holding back tears, the friend pleading for a prodigal soul. You’ve fasted, prayed, hoped, and still nothing seems to change.
But Heaven says: I see. I know. I’m working.
Love That Conquered Hell Is Still Pursuing
“My love and wisdom set a plan in action that could not be defeated by the hordes of hell.”
The cross wasn’t an accident. It was the divine strategy of the all-wise, all-loving God to break the power of sin once and for all.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
If that plan could conquer death, redeem creation, and defeat hell, how could it fail to reach the one person you’re pleading for?
The Blood of Jesus Is an Unbeatable Weapon
“The blood of Jesus is an unbeatable weapon.”
We must remember that the salvation of the lost doesn’t rest on our eloquence or effort it rests on the power of the blood.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…”
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
Every prayer you lift in Jesus’ name, every seed you sow in love, every tear you cry in faith it’s all met by the power of that blood. That blood still speaks. That blood still saves.
He Loves Them Even More Than You Do
“Trust that I love them even more than you do.”
This is hard to grasp especially when you're the one grieving over their choices, begging God to intervene. But God says: I made them. I know them. I love them more deeply than you ever could.
“The Lord is… not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
His love isn’t passive. It’s pursuing. He knows what awakens their heart. He knows what breaks their pride. He knows how to draw them back.
Just Because You Don’t See It Doesn’t Mean He’s Not Working
“Just because you don’t see change doesn’t mean I’m not working on them.”
Faith is often tested in the silence. But God works beneath the surface, behind the scenes, and within the heart.
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”
2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
Remember: a seed planted does not bear fruit overnight. It dies in the soil before it ever breaks through. And often, transformation begins invisible.
Don’t curse the dirt where you’ve planted prayer. Keep watering it with faith.
The Mission of Jesus Hasn’t Changed
“The Son of Man has come to seek out and to give life to those who are lost.”
Luke 19:10 (KJV)
This is not just a verse it’s Jesus’ mission statement. It was His heart then. It is still His heart now.
Your prodigal is not forgotten. Your loved one is not beyond reach. They are pursued by Heaven.
A Call to Endurance and Expectancy
“Keep an attitude of expectancy and faith.”
Don’t stop believing. Don’t let what you see cancel what God said. Trust His wisdom, timing, and relentless love.
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”
Hebrews 10:23 (KJV)
Faith isn’t denying the pain it’s declaring God’s promise in the middle of it.
A Call to Repentance
Sometimes in our waiting, frustration turns to bitterness. If you’ve grown cold, lost hope, or tried to take matters into your own hands repent. Surrender your control. Release your timeline. And trust the One who saves.
He knows what He’s doing. He hasn’t forgotten your prayers. He hasn’t stopped pursuing.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ
The same gospel you long for your loved one to believe is the one that still transforms hearts today.
All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 (KJV)
Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Final Thoughts
You’re praying for someone? Don’t stop.
God hears. God knows. God loves.
And He is still in the business of saving the one.
If He could save the world, He can surely reach them.
So keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep believing.
Because He’s not finished yet.
