Carriers of His Glory: Standing in Strength

I. God’s People Are His Dwelling Place

From Genesis to Revelation, God’s desire has been to dwell among His people. Under the Old Covenant, His presence filled the tabernacle and later the Temple. But under the New Covenant, His Spirit abides in believers themselves.

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
— 1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV)

This indwelling presence is not symbolic. It is transformative. The believer becomes a carrier of divine glory, empowered to withstand trials and reflect God’s holiness to a darkened world.

II. Overcoming Fear in an Age of Crisis

Today’s world is marked by escalating fear. Wars erupt across regions. Pandemics reveal the fragility of global systems. Technology grows at a staggering pace, creating both marvels and existential threats. Economic instability looms, with inflation, debt, and digital currencies reshaping how societies function. In such chaos, fear consumes many.

Yet God promises His people strength.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

To those in Christ, fear does not have the final word. The robe of His glory wraps around His children, guarding them when the world trembles.

III. The Church Built in Glory, Not in Weakness

Jesus declared that His Church would prevail against all opposition.

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
— Matthew 16:18 (KJV)

God is not building a fearful, fragile people. He is raising up a Church clothed in His presence. The coming revival will not be manufactured by man’s strategies but will flow from the mighty wind of the Spirit. Just as Acts 2 records the Spirit’s outpouring, so too shall the end-time Church be empowered to stand as light in deepening darkness.

IV. Modern Shadows of Prophecy

Prophecy is not abstract; it speaks directly into the events unfolding today:

  • Global Deception: Artificial intelligence and mass media manipulation prepare the world for the strong delusion of 2 Thessalonians 2:11.

  • Wars and Unrest: Conflicts in the Middle East mirror Jesus’ warnings of “wars and rumours of wars” (Matthew 24:6).

  • Economic Shifts: Moves toward digital currencies foreshadow Revelation 13, where buying and selling becomes controlled.

  • Spiritual Battle: The increase of lawlessness and hostility toward biblical truth reveals that the spirit of Antichrist is already at work.

Amid these, God is shaping His people to shine with unshakable faith.

V. A People Destined to Overcome

God has not only called His people to endure but to overcome.

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
— 1 John 4:4 (KJV)

Believers will not be swallowed by fear when economies shake or when deception spreads. Instead, they will stand firm, empowered by God’s Spirit, testifying to His faithfulness even as the nations stagger in darkness.

VI. Trusting God with the Future

We often see only the immediate, the headlines of today, the crises of tomorrow. But God declares that He holds the future.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
— Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

This assurance reminds us that while the world prepares for tribulation, the believer prepares for glory. Our days are in His hands. Nothing escapes His sovereignty.

VII. A Call to Repentance

While God’s people carry His glory, the world stumbles in darkness. The question is urgent: will you walk in fear, or will you walk in the light of Christ? The Bible makes it clear:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23 (KJV)

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23 (KJV)

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8 (KJV)

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
— Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Today is the day of salvation. Repent, believe, and receive eternal life in Christ Jesus. Let Him clothe you with His Spirit so that you may stand fearless as a carrier of His glory.

Conclusion:
We are living in an hour where fear grips the nations, deception multiplies, and uncertainty reigns. Yet, the true Church stands secure, not in its own strength but in the presence and power of God. He has called us to be carriers of His glory, overcomers in a world of compromise, and witnesses to His coming kingdom. The days ahead will test the world, but for those in Christ, they are days of victory. Rest in His presence, trust His promises, and shine as His dwelling place until He comes.
