Prepare for Impact: A Call to Awaken and Stand Firm
I. A Reckoning of the Soul: The Question of Stewardship
The call to prepare is not merely for survival but for eternal accountability. Every soul must reckon with the question, What have I done with the life God has given me? Scripture makes clear that each will be judged.
Romans 14:12 (KJV)
“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
The time is now to “choose you this day whom ye will serve” not tomorrow, not when the storm passes, but now. Eternity hinges on this decision.
II. The Foundation Matters: Rock or Sand
Jesus warned of two types of builders: one who builds on the Rock and another on the sand. In the coming storms, only one house will stand.
Matthew 7:24–27 (KJV)
“And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand… and great was the fall of it.”
Many have trusted in wealth, comfort, and worldly systems, but these are shifting sands. The only sure foundation is Christ. The floodwaters, both literal and symbolic, are rising. Impact is imminent.
III. Wake Up, Church: The Lukewarm Will Be Spit Out
The prophetic voice is crying out to the slumbering church: awaken! The Laodicean spirit, complacent, comfortable, and self-deceived, has no place in a bride preparing for her Bridegroom.
Revelation 3:16 (KJV)
“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
God will not share space with divided loyalty. He is purging, refining, and exposing. The separation between wheat and tares is becoming visible. Judgment begins at the house of God.
1 Peter 4:17 (KJV)
“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.”
IV. The Withdrawing of Grace and the Rising of Judgment
Throughout Scripture, when grace is withdrawn, judgment follows swiftly.
Genesis 6:3 (KJV)
“My spirit shall not always strive with man.”
The enemy of your soul, the deceiver, has been unleashed with fury. Yet even this is under God's sovereign purpose.
Revelation 12:12 (KJV)
“Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath...”
The nations are trembling, not simply from natural disasters, but from the shaking of divine justice. Earthquakes, storms, wars, these are not isolated events but the groaning of creation before the return of the King.
V. The Promise to the Faithful: Shelter in the Storm
Even amid chaos, God keeps covenant with His people. He never forsakes those who trust in Him.
Psalm 91:7 (KJV)
“A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.”
Psalm 27:5 (KJV)
“For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion...”
Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV)
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid... for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee.”
The cleft of the Rock is Christ Himself. He is our hiding place, our refuge, our fortress.
VI. The Season of Winter: Prophetic and Literal Darkness
Darkness is not just descending, it is already here. Scripture prophesies gross darkness upon the people before the final light breaks through.
Isaiah 60:2 (KJV)
“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee.”
The dark days of winter signal more than weather patterns. They mark a spiritual chill, a famine of hearing the Word of the Lord.
Amos 8:11 (KJV)
“Behold, the days come... that I will send a famine in the land... of hearing the words of the Lord.”
Gather your wood. Tend the fire of your faith. Fan the flame of devotion.
2 Timothy 1:6 (KJV)
“Stir up the gift of God, which is in thee...”
VII. The Coming Collapse of Nations and Judgments Upon Idolatry
Nations built on rebellion and empires rooted in evil will fall. God is not mocked. What has been spoken in arrogance will return in judgment.
Isaiah 34:2 (KJV)
“For the indignation of the Lord is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies.”
Jeremiah 25:31 (KJV)
“The Lord hath a controversy with the nations.”
Those who speak death will eat its fruit. The gods of mammon, fame, power, and pleasure will fail their worshipers.
Exodus 20:5 (KJV)
“For I the Lord thy God am a jealous God.”
VIII. God’s Faithfulness in History and Today
As in Egypt, so today. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Malachi 3:6 (KJV)
“For I am the Lord, I change not.”
He protected Israel from plagues and brought them through dry seas and barren wilderness.
Exodus 14:29 (KJV)
“But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea...”
He fed them, clothed them, led them. He has not forgotten how to protect His people.
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
IX. Final Encouragement to the Remnant: Stay Hidden in the Rock
Those who are tucked under His wings, whose faith is fixed on Christ, will endure.
Psalm 91:4 (KJV)
“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust.”
God has not called His people to fear but to stand, to proclaim, to shine.
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Even as the leaves fall and the winds blow, His promises stand firm. You are not forsaken.
X. The Call to Repentance and Readiness
The warnings are not doom for the faithful but mercy for the lost. There is still time, but little of it. God is calling everyone everywhere to repent.
Acts 17:30 (KJV)
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.”
The signs are undeniable. The hour is late. Choose now.
XI. The Gospel of Salvation: Your Invitation
Every soul must respond. You must first acknowledge your condition.
Romans 3:23 (KJV)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Sin demands judgment.
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
God intervened through His Son.
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Salvation is received through faith and confession.
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Do not delay. The time is now. Choose life.
Conclusion
The days of comfort and complacency are over. The time of impact has come. The storm is not to be feared by the faithful, but it will shake all that is not built upon Christ.
To the remnant: stand firm, stay in the cleft of the Rock, keep your lamps burning. To the lost: cry out now, while mercy is extended. For soon the sky will part, and the Son of Man will return in power and glory.
Choose you this day whom you will serve.
