Prepare Your Heart

“For yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.” Hebrews 12:26 (KJV)

There are moments in biblical history when God announces a shaking before it comes. He warned Noah before the flood. He warned Egypt before judgment. He warned Jerusalem before destruction. And He always warns before He closes the door.

We are living in a generation marked by instability. Nations tremble under economic strain. Wars multiply. Technology reshapes power structures. Moral boundaries collapse. The world senses something approaching, yet few prepare spiritually.

Scripture teaches that divine shaking has purpose.

“That those things which cannot be shaken may remain.” Hebrews 12:27 (KJV)

Shaking reveals foundations.

I. As in the Days of Noah

Jesus gave a prophetic comparison that cannot be ignored.

“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:37 (KJV)

What defined Noah’s generation? Normalcy in the face of warning.

“For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage… and knew not until the flood came.” Matthew 24:38–39 (KJV)

They continued daily life, dismissing prophetic warning. The ark stood as visible mercy. Yet the door eventually closed.

“And the Lord shut him in.” Genesis 7:16 (KJV)

God’s patience is real. So is its limit.

II. Hardened Hearts and Borrowed Time

The danger of repeated rejection is hardness.

“Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” Hebrews 3:15 (KJV)

Many mistake extended grace for permanent safety. Yet Scripture calls it longsuffering mercy.

“Despisest thou the riches of his goodness… not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” Romans 2:4 (KJV)

Borrowed time is not guaranteed time.

The broad path remains crowded.

“Broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.” Matthew 7:13 (KJV)

Judgment is not emotional rage. It is righteous fulfillment of divine holiness.

III. Nations Brought to Their Knees

Throughout Scripture, when nations exalted themselves against God, collapse followed.

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34 (KJV)

We are witnessing global systems strained by corruption, violence, moral confusion, and economic instability. Scripture foretells distress among nations.

“And upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity.” Luke 21:25 (KJV)

The shaking of nations often awakens individuals.

“When thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.” Isaiah 26:9 (KJV)

IV. Shelter Under His Wings

For the faithful, the message is not terror but trust.

“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust.” Psalm 91:4 (KJV)

Protection does not always mean absence of difficulty. It means presence in it.

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee.” Isaiah 43:2 (KJV)

The anchor is not government. Not wealth. Not preparedness strategies alone.

“That Rock was Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)

Victory is not in human strength.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 (KJV)

V. Stay Strong and Courageous

The call echoes what God spoke to Joshua:

“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid… for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9 (KJV)

Even in gross darkness, believers are sustained by the Spirit.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

Daily repentance, prayer, thanksgiving, and spiritual vigilance are not religious rituals. They are lifelines.

A Call to Repentance

The warning is clear. The door remains open now. Prepare your heart.

“Prepare to meet thy God.” Amos 4:12 (KJV)

Do not delay. Do not dismiss. Do not grow lukewarm.

“Because thou art lukewarm… I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16 (KJV)

Turn fully to Christ. Anchor yourself in Him before the shaking intensifies.

The Gospel Invitation

All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 (KJV)

Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 (KJV)

Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (KJV)

Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Repent. Believe. Receive salvation while mercy stands open.

Conclusion

A shaking is coming. Foundations will be tested. Nations will tremble. Hearts will fail those unprepared.

But for those anchored in Christ, there is shelter under His wings and strength in His Spirit.

Stay strong and courageous. The Rock remains unshaken.
