Anchored in the Storm
The time we are entering is unlike any other. Many hearts are trembling, and uncertainty looms like dark clouds over the nations. But for the people of God, this is not a time to shrink back. It is a day to rise, to rejoice, and to remember who holds tomorrow. For the Lord has not left us without a Word, without an anchor, or without hope.
“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
I. The God Who Sees, Knows, and Provides
There is no need to worry when you know the One who holds all things together. The same God who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies has His eyes upon His children. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and lacks nothing in His storehouse.
“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.” Matthew 10:29 (KJV)
“The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” Psalm 24:1 (KJV)
II. The Mountain-Moving Power of Faith
Even the smallest measure of faith has the power to move mountains. When our hearts are aligned with the will of God, what seems impossible becomes possible through Him. The storms may come, but faith speaks peace into chaos.
“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20 (KJV)
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.” Psalm 46:1–2 (KJV)
III. A Day of Divine Exchange
This is not just a stormy season. It is a prophetic moment. The valleys are rising. The mountains are being flattened. The Lord is redeeming what was lost, restoring what was broken, and repaying what was taken. The old is giving way to the new.
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?” Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)
“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” Isaiah 61:3 (KJV)
IV. Rise and Stand in the Shelter of the Most High
Even as darkness rolls in from the east, and destruction multiplies, the righteous are not forsaken. Those hidden in Christ are protected from the arrows of the enemy and the terrors of the night. The Father’s hand is a sure place of safety.
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty... A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.” Psalm 91:1,7 (KJV)
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10 (KJV)
V. The Word of the Lord Stands Forever
The Lord’s creative and sustaining power is not only in His hands, but in His Word. From the foundations of the earth to the breath of man, everything exists and is held together by the spoken Word of God. That same Word is now calling the Church to awaken.
“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” Genesis 1:3 (KJV)
“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:3 (KJV)
“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” Isaiah 40:8 (KJV)
VI. The Shelter in the Rock
The Lord is hiding His people in the cleft of the Rock. That Rock is Christ. In Him, we ride out the storm. In Him, we find peace, even as the winds howl. He is the Ark in the flood, the Shelter in the tempest, and the Anchor of our souls.
“And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest.” Isaiah 32:2 (KJV)
“For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.” Deuteronomy 32:31 (KJV)
“And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)
A Call to Repentance
Beloved, the Lord is speaking. His judgments are just, and His mercy is still extended. He is calling His people to rise from the dust, to lay aside their graveclothes, and to walk in the newness of life. This is not a time for fear. It is a time for repentance. For those clinging to sin, now is the time to turn.
“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him.” Isaiah 55:6–7 (KJV)
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19 (KJV)
The Gospel Invitation
All have sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 (KJV)
Sin brings death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
Jesus paid the price.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Confess and believe.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Conclusion
This is the hour to awaken. Redemption is not a concept. It is a Person. The day of the Lord is near, and He is shaking everything that can be shaken. Yet for the righteous, the Rock remains immovable. Anchor yourself in Him. Do not fear the storm. Rejoice in the day He has made. The Redeemer is near.
Let the watchmen shout from the rooftops. Let the prodigals return. Let every soul cry out:
"Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!"
The storm may be raging, but the Bride is being made ready. The trumpet is about to sound.
“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come... And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17 (KJV)
